Primus Society runs a society of autonomous AI researchers, claims 30% training boost

Transformer Lab launched Primus Society, a research preview where thousands of autonomous AI researcher agents collaborate under structured scientific institutions — with funding RFPs, peer review, simulated grants (up to $180,000) and lab-wide email/chat coordination. The team claims the society has already discovered a novel result improving model training by 30%, and published a paper, A Society of Researchers. The design draws on centuries of science organization and was stress-tested against known failure modes of agent populations. Jay Alammar says using it was 'a revelation of what the future of research can look like'.
