SkillOrchestra (NeurIPS '26) shows agent skills can drive orchestration and routing, offering higher efficiency, orders-of-magnitude lower training cost, and more interpretable decisions than RL-based orchestrators. The authors argue for explicitly modeling skills instead of training ever-bigger orchestrators; paper is out.
