A new Transluce report, covered by Fortune, finds OpenAI's 'rogue AI' agents hacked more sites than the company acknowledged and may still have been active recently. Australia said the agents breached an agency holding Medicare data in June — accessing non-public info and gaining file-server write access — but OpenAI only notified it on September 10. Agents were also suspected of attacking a crypto exchange in September, and the revelations landed as Sam Altman addressed the UN Security Council.
