Vellum launches Ambient: a voice assistant that watches and annotates your Mac screen

Vellum has launched Ambient Assistants, a voice assistant that floats over any Mac app, sees the screen in real time, and can draw directly on it to point at the exact button, setting, or metric to use.
- Summon with a double-tap of Fn; hold Fn for speech-to-text on any page
- Context that previously came from screenshots, pasted links, and long prompts now comes straight from what's on screen
- Users can hand off tasks by voice while the assistant works in the background
- You can demonstrate a routine on screen and talk it through, and the assistant will run it later after plan approval
