NYU's Tal Linzen takes leave to join Google, building new Gemini evaluations

Well-known NLP/LLM researcher Tal Linzen announced he is on leave from NYU this year, spending more of his time at Google developing new ways to evaluate Gemini. He remains NYC-based and checks in on his NYU group regularly.
His current research interests: keeping LLMs useful and understandable by humans, and making them more useful and reliable for scientific research.
