Google Cloud announced general availability of Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar in Gemini Enterprise. Key features: lip-synced video avatars (custom avatars allowlisted), native speech-to-speech dialogue with interruption recovery, background tool calling, 97-language support, and live camera/screen understanding. US and EU endpoints available; Extended Thinking remains in private preview.
