Tencent Cloud launched an AI-native architecture for TDSQL-C PostgreSQL, rebuilt from the storage engine up for the agent era and 100% Postgres-compatible, treating the database the way Git treats code.
Key capabilities:
- Branch: PB-scale zero-copy cloning in about one second, versus hours or days traditionally
- Serverless: compute scales to zero when idle, pay-as-you-go for bursty agent workloads
- Sandbox isolation: an independent DB-level environment per agent, so one person can run a hundred agents with zero interference
- New storage: 3-AZ fully symmetric writes, zero jitter, RPO=0
