Android Studio launches Bring Your Own Agent: Claude Agent, Codex, Antigravity supported

Google is rolling out Bring Your Own Agent (BYOA) in the latest Android Studio Canary, letting developers plug the coding agent of their choice into the IDE — Anthropic's Claude Agent, OpenAI's Codex, and Google's Antigravity at launch.
Android Studio feeds the full project graph, build setup, and platform details to the agent via the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), letting it filter to relevant files for lower token usage, reduced latency, better accuracy, and lower cost. It follows last year's move to open the IDE to any AI model.
