Zuckerberg: no industry-wide AI coordination needed, labs should self-police; trust and alignment are the next key capabilities

In a clip shared by David Sacks, Mark Zuckerberg argues against industry-wide AI coordination: each lab should take the time it needs internally to proceed safely when issues arise. He says AI is entering a phase where trust and alignment will matter more than raw capability gains, and that commercial incentives to get this right are plentiful — citing Meta's months-long delay of Muse to ship a better product. Chamath amplified the take: manage internal controls before releasing anything; don't FOMO your way into shipping incomplete or dangerous AI.
