Tired of local servers slowing down his laptop, a developer open-sourced WhatThePort, a free native Swift macOS menu bar app that shows every dev server's port, branch, resource use, and which AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, Conductor) started it — with one-click resume links, Vercel preview shortcuts, memory-leak alerts (2 GB / +500 MB in 10 min thresholds), and bulk cleanup of idle or orphaned servers while protecting Postgres and Redis. macOS 14+, no account, nothing leaves the machine.
