Google's Gemini now makes calls for you on Pixel 11 with Call for Me beta

Per WIRED, Google launched Call for Me, an experimental beta exclusive to Pixel 11 in the US (English), requiring a Gemini subscription and the Phone by Google public beta. Gemini can call businesses — checking tool stock, booking a haircut — hold back-and-forth conversations, navigate phone menus and wait on hold, with a live transcript you can take over anytime. It won't call emergency services. It's Google's second attempt after Duplex, now powered by modern LLMs.
