Celesto Launches Real Computers for AI Agents With 500ms-Boot MicroVMs

Celesto launched a platform that gives AI agents a real computer — browser, terminal, filesystem and full desktop interface for computer-use.
Core capabilities:
- Each agent runs in a hardware-isolated microVM that boots in 500ms, with pause/resume and snapshots to preserve state
- Forking: branch a running sandbox into parallel copies for testing variants, rollback or fanning out work
- Network controls keep data secure; the harness runs outside the sandbox and continuously learns from every run to make agents more reliable
- Deploy agents to customers via MCP servers, Telegram, APIs and more
Open source & business model:
- Open-source core SmolVM (Apache-2.0, 239 GitHub stars), self-hostable with no lock-in
- Celesto Cloud managed version with the same CLI/SDK, billed only while sandboxes run; 380 developers building on it
