Stripe Publishes Data on European Entrepreneurship and Compute

Stripe released a dataset on European entrepreneurship and industry, aiming to ground the competitiveness debate in empirical data. It covers cumulative real GDP growth since the Maastricht Treaty, real household consumption per capita, aggregate market cap of the top 50 companies, how founders rate dealing with government by country (European mean 5.41 on a 1–10 scale), whether founders would incorporate in the same country again, monthly payment volume of AI businesses on Stripe by HQ country, data centre capacity by country in gigawatts, the Stripe Economic Domicile Migration Index, nonbank credit to the private sector, sources of founding difficulty, cross-region share of pay-ins within the internal market, restructuring costs per employee, and stablecoin circulating supply by currency peg from 2020 to 2025.
