Databricks acquires Row Zero to bring native governed spreadsheets to Genie

Databricks announced it is acquiring spreadsheet startup Row Zero, bringing a native, fully governed spreadsheet experience to Databricks Genie with enterprise-grade security and lineage powered by Unity Catalog. Finance, ops, sales, and marketing teams will be able to model scenarios and collaborate with standard spreadsheet logic without leaving their data and AI foundation.
