Open source project reverse-engineers every retro game with AI agents, starting with C64
Vjeux · x · 2026-09-24
Games Explained is an open source project aiming to reverse-engineer games on all platforms, starting with the Commodore 64, with 7 games already analyzed.
Each game gets a line-by-line breakdown with interactive visuals: e.g. 1985's Master of Magic fit four levels into a 4 KB map and used 28 rays to determine visibility. Contributions are agent-driven — clone the repo and have your agent follow kit/START.md to add a game or a new platform.
