Gemini desktop Task mode in testing with voice control via Gemini Live: report

Google is internally testing a new Task mode in the Gemini desktop app that may integrate Gemini Live, letting users control Computer Use tasks by voice, according to TestingCatalog.

Computer Use settings are also getting more granular, with whitelisted and blocked app lists. The features are in closed testing and could arrive alongside a rumored early Gemini 4 Pro launch.
