Dev launches free no-setup GSC MCP server after finding Google data can be wildly misleading

A solo developer launched a free hosted Google Search Console MCP server (askwatch.ai) that skips the usual Google Cloud/OAuth setup and wraps the API in 11 SEO-oriented tools. Two key lessons: GSC's freshest data via dataState: all can include partially processed days — a 28-day comparison showed clicks down 11.7% when the real drop was 1.1% after finalization — so the server defaults to finalized data only. Raw API access also produced inconsistent LLM answers, so tools are built around actual SEO questions instead. Read-only OAuth scope, personal MCP URL with token, no paid tier; self-hosters can use the open-source mcp-gsc.
