Qualcomm has made a major Linux commitment for Snapdragon X2: an official Linux Early Developer Preview, Debian support targeted by end of 2026, and Ubuntu certification targeted for H1 2027. The plan includes Freedreno/Turnip/Rusticl GPU support, Hexagon NPU support via FastRPC, upstream kernel and driver development, plus HP, ASUS, and HUMAIN planning Linux support in Q1 2027 — well beyond just getting Linux to boot.
