Ex-Doubao PC lead Qi Junyuan launches Today, a proactive personal Agent OS

Qi Junyuan — Teambition founder (acquired by Alibaba for $100M in 2019), ex-Alibaba Cloud Drive, ex-Feishu VP and ex-Doubao PC lead — has officially launched Today, a proactive personal Agent OS he first teased in July, now available on Mac, iOS and Android. He bought the today.ai domain back in 2014.
The product centers on "Living Memory" and proactivity: it remembers long-term projects, contacts, preferences and unfinished tasks (user-viewable and editable), generates daily Morning Brief and evening recaps, and proactively surfaces relevant external changes. Connectors bring in email, calendar, notes and files (GitHub, Figma, Google, Dropbox, Microsoft), with a task system routing each task to suitable frontier models; heavier work goes to an always-on Cloud Computer where the agent can browse, handle files and run code. Developers can package workflows as Skills.
Memory-plus-proactivity is becoming a battleground — Google wires Gemini into Gmail/Calendar, OpenAI's ChatGPT Pulse does async personalization — but Today packages memory, proactive alerts, connectors and cloud execution into one OS-level product.
