Ant open-sources AntSpeaker/MECT: 9.57M-param voiceprint model matches 587M-param models on VoxCeleb1

Ant Group has open-sourced AntSpeaker/MECT, a tiny, real-time-capable voiceprint verification model.
- Performance: with only 9.57M parameters, it matches (and on average slightly beats) pretrained models with 587M parameters on VoxCeleb1.
- Approach: it brings MoE-style expert specialization into fully supervised speaker verification training, and via causal retraining achieves 100ms streaming latency with near-offline accuracy, making it viable for real-time use.
- Use cases: phone-based identity verification for banking and call centers, voice login for apps, and device wake-word that only responds to the owner's voice.
It joins a recent wave of small, fast, specialized speech pipeline components.
