Meta's keychain-sized Muse Charm AI device ships in December, cloud-only compute

Meta is reportedly launching Muse Charm, a keychain-sized wearable with a 2-inch touchscreen, camera, at least three microphones, and a fingerprint sensor, shipping in December at an unannounced price.
The notable architecture choice: built-in 5G removes the need for a paired phone, and with no room for meaningful onboard compute the device only captures data while inference runs in Meta's cloud. The companion VR glasses similarly offload the processor to a separate puck — together signaling that the real limits on wearables are thermal load and battery mass, not chips.
