Baidu's Kooko tops 10M overseas users as ARR grows 50% month over month

At Baidu AI Day on September 21, Baidu announced an accelerated overseas expansion of its AI productivity business alongside a global brand upgrade. Oreate AI, launched abroad last year by its Personal Super Intelligence Group, has evolved into Kooko with a general-purpose agent architecture, personalized memory, and tighter local-cloud integration.
The platform claims over 10 million overseas users, paying customers in 197 countries and regions, and ARR growing 50% month over month. Kooko combines memory, domain skills, user-authorized public/private content, and Office editing to help users research, analyze, and create documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and code, retaining edits and preferences as context.
Rather than competing head-on with ChatGPT, Baidu is betting on localization: overseas business head Adam Wen says users in markets like Brazil and Colombia care more about whether a product understands their context and delivers results at the right speed.
