Mifeng launches China's answer to Figure's Index: crowdsourced robot data platform with 1M hours

Mifeng launched Mifengpai, a crowdsourced embodied-AI data platform modeled after Figure's Index. Users borrow its MEgo capture devices (head-mounted panoramic camera or lightweight gripper) and record manipulation data during their daily work, getting paid per valid hour — 20,000 people signed up during the one-month beta, with top earners making over 5,000 RMB a month.
The company has mass-produced 20,000 MEgo devices (monthly capacity in the tens of thousands) and collected 1 million hours of real-world data across 22 scenario categories. Its data engine achieves sub-centimeter hand reconstruction despite occlusion, fast motion and multi-person interaction; graded data is already sold to customers including Tencent Robotics X and Ant Lingbo.
For comparison, Figure's Index has gathered 16M uploaded videos in four months, paid out $15M, and plans to spend over $1B on data and compute within a year. Unlike Figure's in-house use, Mifengpai sells to external buyers and has formed a 50+ member scenario data alliance.
