Researchers in China have developed TJ-FlyingFish, a 1.6 kg amphibious drone with four rotor arms that can both fly and dive. It reaches depths of about 10 feet, moves at 2 m/s underwater, stays submerged for 40 minutes, and hovers about 6 minutes per charge. Potential uses include search-and-rescue, marine research, and offshore construction.
