Alibaba Cloud to open new data centres in Europe next year as overseas push accelerates

Alibaba Cloud will launch new data centres in Turkey, Finland and the Netherlands over the next 12 months, with the Netherlands node opening in October. It will also expand capacity in Malaysia, Germany, the UAE, France and Hong Kong.
Li Feifei, CTO and president of international business, said the expansion brings computing resources closer to customers as enterprises move AI from experiments to real-world deployment, leveraging Alibaba's full-stack AI capabilities spanning chips, cloud infrastructure and multimodal models.
The company also announced partnerships with Panasonic Digital, Unity China, Lion Parcel, Loomi Entertainment and Shake.
