Elon Musk said he hopes for tariff reductions and fewer trade restrictions so the US and China can enter a period of mutual prosperity, and argued that both countries agreeing on a platform for AI regulation would be crucial for AI safety for all of humanity. He said he has seen China's progress firsthand, from new buildings and infrastructure to the visibly increased prosperity of average citizens.
