Meta has unveiled its next-generation VR glasses: just 100 grams in eyewear form with no head strap, with displays and sensors built into the frame while the processor, battery, and storage sit in a separate puck. Specs include a 5K micro-OLED display, 37 PPD, Qualcomm Snapdragon Reality Elite, and roughly 3 hours of battery life for high-resolution playback.
The device launches spring 2027 at $1,299. Some developers see it as a practical window for building content like the early Quest ecosystem, noting low competition so far; others warn the personal agent space is now too crowded for smaller developers.
