vLLM core maintainer speaks at Alibaba's Apsara Conference 2026 on agentic open-source inference

The vLLM project announced that core maintainer Kaichao You (also co-founder and chief scientist of Inferact) spoke at Alibaba Cloud's Apsara Conference 2026 about the evolution of open-source AI and increasingly agentic workloads. Alibaba Cloud quoted him saying Qwen3.8-Max strengthened his confidence in open-source AI's ability to handle complex agentic tasks. vLLM says it will keep pushing open-source inference forward together with Alibaba. The conference also featured 120+ parallel forums and a 50,000-square-meter expo covering chips, frontier models, and agentic applications.
