Meta unveils Muse Charm, a keychain AI gadget for its Muse agent, targeting holiday shipping

At Connect, Meta unveiled Muse Charm, a keychain-sized device for talking to its Muse personal AI agent, with Zuckerberg targeting shipping before the December holiday season.
- Muse context: launched Sept 8, briefly topped the iOS free chart, and lets users customize the agent's name, look, accent and speech rate.
- Charm: a fingerprint sensor on the corner starts conversations; the screen shows a swappable animated Muse avatar — media compare it to a Tamagotchi. It removes the need to unlock your phone to ask AI something, and can let Muse see your surroundings.
- Same-event updates: Muse gains real-time video chat, selectable voices for live voice, and a unique email address per agent.
- Still early: only a few units exist, parts and design aren't final, and price, battery life and connectivity (possibly 5G-based, unconfirmed) are undisclosed.
After flops like Friend soured consumers on physical AI companions, Meta's bet is that Muse already has real users — Charm just adds another entry point.
