DeepMind chief says Gemini 4 is in post-training and could arrive well before year-end

Google DeepMind chief Koray Kavukcuoglu told The Information that Gemini 4 is now in post-training and nearing release. He hopes to ship an early post-training version "much earlier" than year-end, then iterate rapidly — a signal Google may move faster than expected on its next flagship model, with an early preview possibly landing for users first.
