Skild AI unveiled the "Messinator," a football-playing robot the company says was trained via roughly 140 years of self-play in a simulated World Cup environment. Deepak Pathak shared the clip alongside footage from the RoboCup 2026 humanoid football world finals held last month in South Korea, noting humanoid football has had a big year and joking about competing next year.
