UCLA x Google Cloud AI Launch PaperBanana-Interact for Chat-Based Paper Diagram Refinement

UCLA and Google Cloud AI introduced PaperBanana-Interact, tackling the pain of AI-generated paper diagrams that are "almost right": wrong structure, missing components, misplaced arrows, or missing the point. It makes diagram generation conversational — generate a draft, then refine it via chat until the complaints turn into correct edits.
The team released a paper, an interactive demo, code and data, noting the announcement figure itself was made by chatting with the tool.
