$1,874 of Opus tokens generated an entire explorable 3D island running at 60 FPS

Creator Dan Greenheck used $1,874.40 worth of Opus tokens to generate a fully explorable 3D island world running at 60 FPS at 1440p. The details are striking: birds diving into the ocean, cloth and signs swaying in the wind, crabs burrowing when approached, fish swimming alongside a whale, and dock lights illuminating at night — then zoom out to see the entire island.
He notes a few bugs and texture issues, but calls them trivial to fix. Derya Unutmaz adds that in a year this kind of creation will cost under $100 and look even better, and within two years anyone will build realistic imagined worlds for a few bucks.
