Meta debuts $1,299 VR glasses at 100g, close to Vision Pro at half the price

Meta has unveiled VR glasses priced at $1,299 weighing just 100 grams, achieved by offloading battery and compute to an external pack. In demos, the experience comes remarkably close to the Apple Vision Pro at less than half the price and about 1/6th the weight.
