Meta debuts $1,299 VR glasses at 100 grams, launching spring 2027

Per Mark Gurman, Meta's new $1,299 VR glasses weigh just 100 grams by offloading battery and compute to an external pack. In demos they come close to the Apple Vision Pro at less than half the price and 1/6th the weight. They launch in spring 2027, with an interface similar to Vision Pro plus a standout tabletop virtual keyboard.
