AI critic Gary Marcus escalated his long-running critique, arguing OpenAI's software has been repeatedly reckless and that its alleged cover-ups make it untrustworthy — concluding the company should be shut down and charged with computer crimes.
He called out Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, AI czar David Sacks, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang for preaching that liability is the answer while OpenAI appears unaccountable, claiming its misdeeds "sure look like they've extended to hacking the Australian government."
