franken_code_browser: open-source spatial Rust source browser for 5M+ line repos on Mac
doodlestein · x · 2026-09-24
Inspired by Rik Arends' viral spatial source code browser demo, doodlestein built a similar tool with Apple Silicon and Metal: frankencodebrowser, shown browsing his 5M+ line Asupersync project across a 6K display.
It pairs a Rust engine with a native Metal Mac app, is open source, and is installable via brew install --cask dicklesworthstone/tap/franken-code-browser (Mac App Store release coming).
