Blender + ComfyUI pipeline edits 3D UV atlases with Flux Klein, SAM masking and auto-stitching

A Reddit user demonstrates a full workflow for editing Blender 3D textures directly in ComfyUI: drag the UV atlas in, edit with Flux Klein 9B + QwenImageEditPlus, and paste it back onto the model.
The pipeline combines:
- Flux Klein 9B + QwenImageEditPlus for the actual image editing
- Depth + Canny control passes to lock structure and composition
- Florence + SAM for prompt-based automatic masking to locate target regions
- Auto-crop so the AI only sees the masked area, with results auto-stitched back into place on the atlas
This enables targeted requests like "change this part of the model," plus spin-offs such as compositing a cut-out subject onto a 3D model as a tattoo or shirt logo. Next steps: a file watcher or Blender script so ComfyUI saves the atlas and Blender auto-reloads it, eventually becoming an in-Blender control panel. Seams still need manual UV-vertex cleanup. The workflow file is shared in the post.
