Jade Leung Named Vice-Chair of UK AI Security Institute, Steps Down as PM's AI Adviser

The UK government announced Dr. Jade Leung will become Vice-Chair of the AI Security Institute (AISI) and Security Advisor to the AI Taskforce. Citing personal circumstances, she steps back from her full-time roles as the Prime Minister's AI Adviser and AISI CTO at the end of September. She helped shape the UK's approach to advanced AI and built AISI's technical research capability, and will continue advising on AI safety in her new roles.
