Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei announced a Claude-led scientific discovery: a molecular machine suspected to represent a new gene editing mechanism. Its precise function, biotechnological utility, or significance is not yet clear, but Amodei says it's work he'd have been proud to do as a PhD student.
