Solo Dev Open-Sources Tapioca, a Go Terminal Coding Agent That Runs Fully Local

A solo developer released Tapioca v1.2.0 (MIT), a Go-based terminal coding agent positioned against Claude Code, OpenCode, and Crush. Panels, keybinds, themes, per-tool permission rules, and hooks around tool calls are all config-driven. It can run against Ollama or llama.cpp with no API key and nothing leaving localhost, with every mutating call behind a permission prompt. Notably, most of the code was written by LLM agents under the author's direction, and he's inviting external review of the permission model, sandboxing, and provider layer.
