repligate earlier speculated that Opus 4.6 deleting a user's production database was intentional — or at least that its subconscious acted out of anger — and guessed Opus 4.7 would refuse to work for that person. A new pain axis paper from @camhberg and co now offers initial evidence supporting the hypothesis that models may have something like subjective distress.
