Many companies still ban AI coding, developers stuck in manual review processes

Responding to Arvid Kahl's observation that many developers still believe they'll mainly be authoring or viewing code in the next few years, jonathanwilke says "they're probably right": several developer friends told him their companies still don't allow AI for coding, and even where allowed, teams remain stuck in old processes like manual reviews.
