Black Forest Labs releases FLUX 3 Action: open 7B world-action model tops RoboLab-120 at 3.95x speed

FLUX 3 Action
Black Forest Labs announced FLUX 3 Action, an open-weight 7B world-action-model built on its multimodal FLUX 3 backbone, targeting robot control and action prediction from multi-camera observations.
- Training recipe: pretraining across video, image and audio gives broader generalization than action demonstrations alone; the foundation is then adapted via joint video-action training and finetuning to a target embodiment and its action space.
- Results: new state-of-the-art success rate on the RoboLab-120 leaderboard with less than half the parameters of the previous best open model, while running up to 3.95x faster.
- Open release: weights plus a detailed technical report covering pretraining, midtraining, finetuning and inference optimizations — the team stresses the finetuning recipe matters as much as the weights in robotics.
