Claude Code may kill Plan Mode, shifting to Shift+Tab effort-level toggles

The team behind Claude Code is considering killing Plan Mode and replacing it with a Shift+Tab hotkey to adjust effort levels, reasoning that the models no longer need plan mode as capabilities improve.
