Opus 5.5 excels at musical tasks in early test of an AI music-theory agent skill

Developer doodlestein tested Opus 5.5 on his AI music-theory system, a tool called mtdt built for agents along with a corresponding agent skill library. Previous experiments mostly used GPT-6 Astra.
For a sample task he had the model use a newly created skill to handle a musical task, and his verdict is that Opus 5.5 is really good at musical tasks — a key reason for trying it was its much lower cost. He also shared a link to the resulting sheet music so others can inspect the output.
