UK appoints Dr Jade Leung as Vice-Chair of the AI Security Institute

The UK government announced that Dr Jade Leung will become Vice-Chair of the AI Security Institute (AISI) and Security Advisor to the AI Taskforce, continuing her work on UK AI safety leadership.
Leung, previously the Prime Minister's Adviser on AI and CTO of AISI, steps back from those full-time roles at the end of September for personal circumstances. She originally left OpenAI at significant financial sacrifice, played a leading role in establishing AISI and built its technical research capability.
