Cloudflare CTO Dane Knecht joined TIME's 2026 Executives of the Year (Tech & Data) list for rebuilding the company around an internet used by machines: by June 2026, 52% of Cloudflare's crawler requests were for AI training, up from 22% in spring 2025. He drove Agent Cloud for running and securing agents across model providers, plus pay-per-crawl and a Monetization Gateway so publishers can charge automated systems for access.
