Astralis Foundation launches $10M RFP on middle powers and transformative AI

Astralis Foundation, with Macroscopic Ventures, has launched an RFP on "Middle Powers and Transformative AI" with roughly $10M to allocate, most grants between $100k and $2M. The deadline is October 23 (Pacific), with rolling review.
The thesis: while the US and China dominate AI development, middle powers still matter — in the chip supply chain and data center buildout, as independent third-party evaluators and neutral verifiers of agreements, and as sources of talent and state capacity. Advisors include Yoshua Bengio. Applications take under an hour for those with existing ideas, with decisions within about 8 weeks.
