Octo is Mininglamp's open-source (Apache 2.0), self-hostable AI-native collaboration platform. It puts AI agents directly into the collaboration layer: agents join channels, pick up tasks, join discussions and deliver work through the same interface as human teammates — no per-seat setup or isolated silos. In the author's test, objective, acceptance criteria, visible progress, human decisions and final output all stayed in one auditable thread; the only rough edge was setup (a WebSocket route fix), not the task flow.
